The Pero family has been involved in the food trade since the long ago year of 1890.
In the 1920s, the business was passed to son Giuseppe (“Pinin” in Piedmontese dialect) Pero, who kept it going and expanded it during the difficult years of the 1929 recession, autocracy and the Second World War.
In 1956, Pinin’s children founded Figli di Pinin Pero (“Children of Pinin Pero”), named in honour of their father, which subsequently specialised in the packaging of sugars.

A WORLD OF SUGARS
Manufacturing plants, baked goods producers, large-scale distributors, and “cash and carries” all have different requirements when it comes to their usage of sugar and sugars, as do the hotel, restaurant and café industry, coffee roasters, airlines, and shipping companies.

Today, Figli di Pinin Pero is one of the most important companies in the sugar industry in Italy and the largest domestic importer of raw cane sugar directly from its countries of origin.
